Daniel Cormier, UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion stated that the fight with Brock Lesnar it will be the last in his professional MMA career. The fight still remains without a date or place to take place. In an interview with the website “MMANytt”, the multi-time champion reiterated that he will retire in 2019 when he turns 40 years old.

Cormier assured that he intends to defend his belts one more time before retiring. After the fight with the WWE star he doesn't intend to face anyone else. “Lesnar will be my last opponent, the last fight of my career. I don't know who's next. I hope it's him, but I still have the light heavyweight belt to defend. I want to prepare for that,” he said.
Brock's return to Ultimate will only happen in January 2019 and until then it will be six months. 'DC' could face a light heavyweight title fight: Mauritius Shogun ou Alexander Gustafson. He believes that regardless of the opponent chosen by Ultimate, it will be a difficult fight. “It's going to be a very tough fight, but a professional has to approach all fights in the same way. A UFC title fight is always something big.”, concluded Cormier.
