In Brazil for the first time after becoming UFC champion, Chris Cyborg, who lives in the United States, took the opportunity to go to Christ the Redeemer, where he took photos with the belt, won at UFC 214, against Tonya Evinger. Even enjoying the victory, her third in Ultimate, the Brazilian already wants to define her next fight. If it depends on Cris, in fact, the first athlete to challenge her will be Holly holm. The two are friends, but Cyborg makes a point of explaining that there is no misunderstanding between the two, even after the public challenge.

“I have nothing against Holly, I'm even friends with Holly, we made a film together. I think she's a great opponent and we could have a great fight. It's going to be a fight that people will want to see. It's something I would like, but I never choose an opponent. Whoever they want to put in the next fight, I’ll be ready”, commented Cris.

If Holm is the current target for Cyborg, for a long time it was speculated that the main fight the Brazilian could have was against Ronda Rousey, dominant in the bantamweight division for several years. However, Cris says that nowadays he has no interest in facing the former champion. That would change, however, if Ronda v came back and won some fights.

“In fact, if I were to fight Ronda, I would like her to win. I want to fight Ronda who I thought was invincible and not now that they've already beaten her. I would like her to fight, win and become strong again, in her mind. She doesn't need to [fight again]. If she liked fighting, she wouldn't have stopped because of a defeat. Anyone who is a fighter knows that defeat will come one day. I lost my first fight, but I said: 'this is what I like, this is what I'm going to do'. If you like to fight and that's what you like to do, defeat won't stop you. It will give you more motivation to want to win”, said Cyborg, without denying the criticism of his former rival.
