Matt Hughes' family announces former champion's 'slight improvement'

Although he is far from a complete recovery, the former UFC champion Matt hugs He has been improving after an accident almost took his life two weeks ago. At the time, the North American was driving his truck along a track, when a train surprised him and collided with his vehicle. He was removed from the wreckage and taken to a hospital in Illinois, the state where he currently resides.

In a statement on social media, Hughes' family thanked the former fighter's fans for their messages and prayers and updated their followers regarding his health, which continues to inspire care.

Hughes was UFC welterweight champion on two occasions and, among his most notable performances, are triumphs over Georges St Pierre, B.J. Penn, Royce gracie, Frank Trigg and Carlos Newton. He was recently inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his career and also because of one of his fights against Trigg considered one of the biggest upsets in MMA history.
