The UFC 200 card seemed to have collapsed when Jon Jones was caught in drug test on Thursday and was forced to withdraw from the fight from  light heavyweight title unification against Daniel Cormier. Anderson Silva He quickly got ready to 'save' the fight and face the light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg.) with less than two days of preparation.

Although the fight will not take place in the middleweight division, where he reigned for seven years, Anderson has good memories of light heavyweight. It was within this weight limit that Spider ventured into the UFC three times and beat James Irvin, Forrest griffin e Stephan bonnar.

The fight against Griffin, at UFC 101, is considered the greatest performance by a fighter in Ultimate. On that occasion, the Brazilian abused feints, dodges and dances, as he still usually does, but knocked out a former champion of the heaviest category after lowering his guard, dodging a punch and hitting his rival's chin accurately.

2 – Amanda Nunes’ chance

PUBLICITY:

Amanda nunes will have her golden chance at UFC 200. For the first time in her career, the “Lione” will compete for the organization's belt against the bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate. And even though she is considered a 'zebra', the Brazilian has a good chance of making history and becoming the first fighter in the country to win the Ultimate belt.

Amanda is on a three-fight win streak, including a triumph over the former title challenger Sara McMann. In her most recent fight, the Brazilian had a solid performance to get the better of the former muay thai world champion Valentina Shevchenko.

However, on the other side, the situation is tough. Miesha, former “customer” of Ronda Rousey in title fights, he rebuilt his path to the top in a relentless manner. “Cupcake” won five in a row and, in March, won the belt in an impressive upset over Holly holm, executioner of Ronda.

PUBLICITY:

The duel between Amanda and Miesha is intriguing in some ways. Will the Brazilian be able to impose her momentum on the champion? Will Miesha, famous for her resistance, bring her game to Amanda? The answers will be given in the main fight of UFC 200.

3 – The return of Brock Lesnar

Just over four years ago, Brock Lesnar announced his retirement from MMA after being defeated by alistair overeem at UFC 141. However, during the broadcast of UFC 197, the organization announced the return of the franchise's biggest pay-per-view (PPV) seller to face Mark Hunt in the co-main event of the event.

With notable victories over Frank mir, Randy Couture and Shane carwin, Lesnar is a legitimate knockout artist inside the octagon. Based on wrestling, where he was national champion in the sport, the giant usually takes down his opponents and lands several punches on the ground.

In addition to his credentials inside the octagon, Lesnar brings another attraction to UFC 200. Famous for his time in WWE, the giant has three of Ultimate's biggest PPV package sales in editions 100, 116 and 121, all over 1 million of sales.

Your opponent, the 'Super Samoan' Mark Hunt He's a born knockout artist. Even with an unattractive record of 12 wins, 10 losses and a draw, Hunt has already defeated big names like Wanderlei Silva, Mirko Cro Cop and Roy Nelson.

4 – The settling of accounts between José Aldo and Frankie Edgar

For the first time since 2005 José Aldo will enter a fight after defeat. After maintaining an 11-year unbeaten run, the Brazilian was defeated by Conor McGregor, in December 2015, in just 13 seconds. Now, upon his return, he is trying to regain the belt – albeit an interim one – in the featherweight category. The opponent will be the North American Frankie Edgar, former lightweight division champion.

Aldo and Edgar faced each other for the first time in 2013 at UFC 156. At the time, the Brazilian was the featherweight champion and Edgar had recently arrived in the category. The man from Manaus faced a tough opponent, but won with a unanimous decision from the judges.

Frankie Edgar, in turn, is better adapted to featherweight after his loss to Aldo. The North American scored five consecutive victories in the division, beating names Charles of the Bronx, B.J. Penn, Cub swanson, Urijah faber e Chad Mendes. If Aldo wants to prove that he can get back to the top, Edgar wants to prove that he can get to the top.

5 – Card starred even in the preliminary

It's not just the main fights that will attract fans' interest in UFC 200. The show's preliminary card, with seven fights, two former champions in action and two Brazilians in action.

In the second fight of the night, the Brazilian Thiago Marreta face the Armenian Gegard Mousasi and a victory puts the Brazilian very well in the middleweight rankings. Three fights later, Raphael Assunção rematches the former bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. The Brazilian has already defeated the North American in a very tight fight at UFC Barueri. In case of another triumph, the Pernambuco native must apply for the position of challenger for the division's belt.

In addition to TJ, John hendricks is another former UFC champion who will perform on the preliminary card. Former holder of the welterweight title (up to 77 kg.), the North American was the Canadian's toughest opponent Georges St Pierre, who reigned supreme in the division between 2007 and 2013.
