In recent months, especially after the defeat to Nate diaz, Conor McGregor has been notable for headlines that concern only extra-octagon aspects, such as his relationship problems with Ultimate, the cancellation of the rematch with Diaz for refusing to participate in advertising commitments or speculation about a superfight against Floyd Mayweather. For the current UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate, Conor needs to review his stance, especially with regard to the way he has been negotiating with the organization.

“The UFC did a lot, and more than that, to accommodate him and you have to think about that too: how does the Conor McGregor became Conor McGreogr? If there was no UFC, you wouldn't know who he was. It is a mutual effort on both sides. The UFC spent a tremendous amount of money promoting the Conor McGregor and he made a lot of money, for himself and for the UFC, but it's teamwork. They are working hard to create something exceptional and it has been really good, but don't change now Conor. Stay on track. That's how you've been doing it and that's what brought you here. Don't 'think yourself' and think you're bigger than the UFC because that will be your downfall”, said Miesha, in an interview with “SiriusXM” radio.

Former champion of the extinct Strikeforce, Miesha Tate won the UFC women's bantamweight title last March, submitting the former boxer Holly holm. Now, Miesha will put her belt on the line for the first time at the historic UFC 200, scheduled for July 9th in Las Vegas (USA), against Brazilian challenger Amanda Nuens. The event, in fact, would have Conor McGregor taking revenge against Nate diaz in the main fight, but the Irishman could not reach an agreement regarding his publicity obligations with the tournament management and ended up being cut from the schedule.
