As expected, the duel was defined by a heavy hand and, luckily for the New Zealander based on Australian soil, this blow was his. Just three minutes into the fight, after a hard start, Hunt landed a direct shot on Mir's temple, who fell completely surrendered.

With the side of his face and neck completely stiffened by the impact, Mir fell on his back and still found time to hit the ground twice, implying that he was in no condition to fight. The referee intervened, but Hunt himself did not attempt any more blows, already aware of his opponent's situation.

After the duel, Hunt still found time to joke with the public and suggest a “fundraiser” among the fans for his celebration. “I would like to say that we have a party after here, everyone gives two hundred dollars… No, just kidding (laughs). But let's have a few beers and celebrate this victory. Thank you, Jesus!” he said.

Magny turns around and knocks out Lombard at the end

Australian naturalized Cuban Hector Lombard He even started the fight at a fast pace, but got tired quickly and ended up suffering an upset against the “giant” Neil Magny, with its wingspan of more than two meters. The North American took advantage of his physical fitness advantage and knocked out his rival in the final stretch of the fight.

In the first round, with an impressive blitz, Lombard took Magny to the ground right away and delivered a devastating series of blows to his rival. Magny, however, resisted well and managed to take the fight to the second round, leaving the Cuban looking more tired after the opening minutes.

PUBLICITY:

In the second round, despite a knockdown of Lombard, what was seen was a completely opposite scenario. Magny managed to stay on top and, in mount, punished the Cuban mercilessly, to the point that the central referee's performance – who did not interrupt the fight – was heavily questioned.

In the third and decisive round, completely surrendered, Lombard was barely able to resist and all Magny had to do was fall from the mount again for the duel to come to an end with a few more blows to the ground and pound. With the triumph, Magny reached three consecutive victories, the first by fast track in the series.
