The weigh-in for the Invicta FC 16 event, last Thursday (10), left fans wondering whether the fights would take place under MMA rules or video games. This is because two athletes from the attraction came to the scale dressed as two characters from the most classic fighting games.

First it was the former UFC athlete Angela Hill. The American, who faces Stephanie Eggink, drew laughter from the audience in Las Vegas (USA) when she appeared dressed as Dhalsim, a fighter from “Street Fighter”. And that wasn't all: Angela also imitated the dance done by the Indian character after his victories in the game.

Then it was the turn of fellow Ultimate veteran Roxanne Modafferi. Addicted to games, the fighter went on stage wearing the clothes of Mileena, a character from “Mortal Kombat”. In fact, it wasn't just Modafferi, but her entire team: her trainers and cornermen were dressed up as figures like Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage.

The undefeated FC 16, from the organization that only has female athletes, will have two title fights. In the main fight of the night, Ayaka Hamasaki defends the atomweight belt against Amber Brown; shortly before, Brazilians Jennifer maia and Vanessa Porto duel for the interim flyweight belt.
