LeBron James supports McGregor: 'Champions stumble all the time'

NBA star spoke about the Irishman's defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 and cited the example of Muhammad Ali

NBA star LeBron James is a self-confessed fan of Conor McGregor, who has already been a character in some of his social media posts. That's why the Cleveland Cavaliers idol didn't let the Irishman's setback go unnoticed. Nate diaz at UFC 196 and left his message of support for the featherweight champion.

“Champions stumble all the time. That doesn't make him any less of a man. That doesn't make him any less of a champion. Not about how you react when you're doing well, but it's the attitude you have when you come back from a big defeat, when people say you're finished. I think he'll be as strong as he was before this. Many champions have already lost. Probably the greatest champion of all time, Muhammad Ali lost before. So, it doesn’t matter”, said the basketball player, in an interview with the North American channel “FOX Sports”.

A few weeks ago, Lebron had already published a motivational phrase from Conor McGregor on the social networks. ““There is no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession. Talent does not exist, we are equal human beings. You can be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top. I'm not talented, I'm obsessive”, said the two-time NBA champion at the time.
