The loudmouth Conor McGregor spared no provocations to promote his fight at UFC 196, this Saturday (5), against Nate diaz. However, the Irishman had to swallow his words in the worst possible way, with a fair finish against the North American in Las Vegas (USA).

Featherweight champion (up to 66 kg) and fighting at welterweight (77 kg), McGregor started the fight well, taking advantage in the stand-up fight against Diaz. The Irishman's blows even opened a large wound over his rival's eye. However, the game changed in the second round, and decisively.

McGregor slowed down and became more vulnerable to Diaz's strikes. One of them, a straight left, hit Conor's chin and made him wobble. Trying to survive the suffocation, McGregor tried to take the fight to the ground, but fell on the bottom. Diaz struck, made the Irishman turn on his back and applied a beautiful rear naked choke to settle the score.
