Fired by the UFC, Fábio Maldonado decided to return to Brazil and signed with the XFC event, where he will make his debut in March. On February 27th, Maldonado will face Robson “Bambu” Oliveira, in a scheduled fight lasting ten rounds and valid in the heavyweight category. The confrontation will take place at Academia Combat Clube, in São Paulo (SP). The information was released by the website “Globoesporte”.

This will be Maldonado's third fight in three different disciplines within a month.
