“The jiu-jitsu community is very united and very honorable. We have prestige. Don't claim to be a black belt if you aren't. We will expose you. Signed: The jiu-jitsu police.”

Thus ends the video that has been circulating on social media and has been a hit among martial arts fans in recent days. In the images, Brazilian Jay Queiroz, who claims to have a black belt in jiu-jitsu and teaches beginners in the state of New York (USA), is confronted by other teachers in the region.

With several videos published on his channel, YouTube, and supposedly a black belt licensed by the IBJJF (International Jiu-Jitsu Federation), the fake Brazilian teacher was approached by (legitimate) brown belt Mike Palladino and some of his students and the result was a surreal dialogue.

After being exposed, Jay Queiroz deleted his videos on the internet, but did not make any comments on social media about whether or not he continues to teach jiu-jitsu. The “Jiu-Jitsu Police”, which had its first “job” in Brazil, continues with its active channel and, possibly, in search of new hoaxes.
