Chris Cyborg Do you already have an idea of your next steps in your career towards the long-awaited fight against Ronda Rousey. The Brazilian, who will defend the Invicta FC featherweight belt this Thursday (9), intends to fight next at catchweight in the UFC, with an opponent in mind: Miesha Tate.

The information was passed on by the fighter's manager, George Prajin, who sees the commitment at Invicta this week as possibly her last outside of Ultimate. “The UFC is the biggest stage and Cris is the biggest star. One needs to be close to the other”, he explained, in an interview with the website of the North American broadcaster “ESPN”.
Cyborg will face Faith van Duin in the featherweight division (66 kg). His next plan is to fight at catchweight in the UFC, at 63 kg, and then finally move down to the bantamweight division, at 61, in which Rousey fights.
"Miesha Tate I already said I would fight Cris at 63 kg. This would probably be the second biggest fight in women's MMA, behind Cris x Ronda Rousey. It is a step towards the right direction. If it doesn't work out with Miesha, we'll look for another fighter to meet Cris at this intermediate weight,” continued Prajin.
While Cyborg will fight this week, the other athletes mentioned also have commitments in the future. Miesha Tate faces Jessica Eye at UFC on FOX 16, on July 25th, while Ronda Rousey face Bethe Correia at the beginning of August.
