It is already defined that Alexander Gustafson will be the first challenger for the UFC light heavyweight belt, currently owned by Daniel Cormier. However, another fight could already determine who will fight for the title next.

According to the official Ultimate program on North American TV, “UFC Tonight”, the organization plans to put Ryan bader e Rashad evans face to face on October 3rd, in Houston, Texas (USA). The fight, which would be part of the UFC 192 card, would have already been accepted by both athletes.
Bader is in good shape in the UFC, with four wins in a row. Among his victims are Phil Davis, Ovince St Preux e Rafael Feijão. The TUF 8 champion expected to be the next to fight for the title, but ended up passed over by Gustafsson.
Evans, former champion of the category, has been away from fighting since November 2013, when he massacred Chael Sonnen at UFC 167. Before that, the American had obtained a narrow victory over Dan Henderson. Since then, Evans has suffered from knee injuries, which even took him out of the fight he would have against Glover Teixeira in Porto Alegre, at the beginning of the year.
