The bantamweight Matheus Nicolau is the first semi-finalist of TUF Brasil 4. The representative of the Shogun team defeated Reginaldo Vieira in the unanimous decision of the judges and moved forward in search of a contract with the UFC. But what caught attention in the third episode of the series, shown in the early hours of this Monday (20), was the departure of Anderson Silva of the program after the announcement of his doping case in the house. In an emotional speech, Spider asked his fighters to stay focused on the fight.
“I ended up failing the doping test. By decision of the commission, I will have to leave the house. Those who will take over the team are Rodrigo (Minotauro) and Rogério (Minotouro). I'm leaving, but you can't let the dream leave your head. Remember everything you went through to get here. I'm asking this as a brother, a friend, for you to stay focused. At no point can you let your dream leave your head”, said Anderson in his farewell speech to his team.

Initially, Silva did not want to communicate the problem to his athletes, but the Nevada Athletic Commission, the entity responsible for judging the case, asked that the fighter be removed from the show. The announcement was made with great emotion and several fighters burst into tears.
Afterwards, Anderson said goodbye to the athletes and UFC president, Dana White, presented Rodrigo Minotauro e Rogério Minotouro as new technicians.
The fight
With the right to choose the first fight of the program, Mauricio Shogun he preferred to start with the rooster division. He selected Matheus Nicolau to represent your team and Reginaldo Vieira by the now Minotauro/Minotouro team.
The fight between Matheus and Reginaldo began studied. The representative of the Shogun team controlled the distance better and waited for his rival's actions to counterattack. In turn, Vieira tried to exchange punches with his rival, but the blows were empty.
At the end of the first round, Reginaldo managed to land a good blow, closing the distance and knocking down his rival, who got up, but was taken down again. Matheus again didn't stay down and returned to the fight on his feet.
The second round started like the first: with a lot of study and several empty strikes. Reginaldo was the one who took the most initiative and moved forward, but the vast majority of his attacks did not connect with Matheus, who showed a good dodging game. The representative of the Shogun team, despite attacking less, managed to land more blows, even without great force.
With the fight tied, a third round was necessary to decide the winner. The decision of a partial tiebreaker did not please the Rodrigo Minotauro who complained upon receiving the notice. “It’s not possible, look at the effectiveness”, he said.
In the tiebreaker round, Reginaldo tried to take Matheus down, but he was the one who fell on the bottom. With a lot of patient work, Nicolau stabilized his position on the ground, keeping his rival on the bottom to win the unanimous decision of the judges.

In the next episode of TUF Brasil 4, the first fight between lightweights was announced. How the red team won the first duel, Mauricio Shogun had the right to choose the next confrontation. To represent his team he chose the Argentine Nazareno Malegarie. He will face André Dedé from Team Minotauro. Dedé, who is a personal friend of Anderson Silva, was visibly shaken by his partner's departure from TUF and promised, in case of victory, to dedicate the triumph to Spider.
