The fight between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver, main attraction of UFC Fight Night 59, last Sunday (18), was surrounded by provocations from both sides. However, after the fight ended, Siver surrendered to the Irishman and recognized that his rival, winner by technical knockout in the second round, is in fact skilled enough to be part of the elite of the featherweight division.

In the post-fight press conference, Siver praised his tormentor's performance. “One thing Conor does very well is talk, but he has also proven that he can do more than talk. In fact, he was better than me. He's not just an average guy. He was better than me”, said the German.
Siver, who suffered his second defeat since moving to the 66 kg division, gave his opinion on the Irishman's main qualities. “One thing that is really good about his style is that he has a good eye for distance. He can judge distance very well,” he considered. Asked if there was any advice to give to McGregor's next opponents, Siver replied: “It's a good question, but if I had known the answer, I would have used that in the fight. They will have to find out for themselves.”
UFC president Dana White confirmed at the same press conference that McGregor is expected to challenge the division's champion, José Aldo, in May, at UFC 187. The event will be held in Las Vegas (USA), just before the Christmas holiday. Memorial Day in the USA, in honor of North American war veterans, one of the most important in the country.
