When Junior Gypsy arrived at the press room for the UFC on FOX 13 post-event press conference, it was difficult to recognize the Brazilian. With his face badly bruised and with some bandages, the result of the arduous battle fought against Stipe Miocic, Cigano wore sunglasses to unsuccessfully try to hide the swelling.

During the interview, however, the fighter himself joked about his appearance.

“I was expecting a tough fight. Miocic is a tough guy and believes a lot in his hands, just like me. He surprised me, yes, he connected good blows, but I'm very happy. My face might not be that happy. She's hurt again, but I'm so happy and my heart is bursting with happiness. That's because, after a very tough year, I managed to come back and win”, said the Brazilian.

With the victory over Stipe Miocic, Junior Gypsy Now he has 17 wins and three losses as a professional in MMA. The new triumph also kept the former heavyweight champion at the top of the category. Cigano currently occupies second place in the official ranking, behind only the holder of the linear title Cain Velazquez and the new owner of the interim belt Fabricio Werdum.
