VIDEO: Tsarukyan punches fan during walk to Octagon and justifies unusual action

Lightweight standout claims he was insulted by a person present at the T-Mobile Arena and asks that situations like these be avoided

Protagonist of an unusual episode during his walk to the octagon in UFC 300, Arman Tsarukyan opened the game and explained why he punched a fan while passing through the arena corridor. During a press conference after the victory over Charles of the Bronx, the athlete claimed to have been provoked and asked that attitudes like these be avoided, so that he will not be arrested in the United States.

“(The fan) showed me 'fuck you' and wanted to punch me. I wanted to punch him back. And that. No matter who you are, I'll punch you in the face. I come from Russia. Don’t do this, please or I will go to prison in the United States”, declared the fighter.

At the time of the episode, security guards managed to contain the prominent lightweight (up to 70,3kg) and avoided a problematic scenario before the confrontation between the Armenian and the Brazilian in the UFC 300. Despite the rapid stress, Tsarukyan demonstrated that he was not shaken by the attitude of the fan who was present at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA).

Faced with boos, Arman managed to emerge victorious from the confrontation in a split decision from the judges. In a duel that lasted three rounds, the athlete managed to withstand moments of danger imposed by Do Bronx and achieve a fourth consecutive victory in the organization.
