Present in a row close to the octagon of the UFC 300, Israel adesanya was able to witness his great rival's first title defense Alex Poatán. Victorious in the first round after a brutal knockout Jamahal hill, the Brazilian apparently did not excite the Nigerian with his feat. Without expressing any type of reaction, the athlete was caught on camera at the moment of the triumph (see below).
Next to your friend Kamaru Usman, Israel adesanya held back when the light heavyweight champion set the arena on fire with an apotheotic performance against the challenger for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg). Despite his cold stance, the fighter recently declared that he doesn't want a trilogy against the Brazilian in the UFC and demonstrated that he has abandoned the idea of the rivalry.

Tied in MMA clashes, Adesanya and Poatan had one of the biggest rivalries in the organization. Responsible for ending the Nigerian's reign in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg.) in 2022, the Brazilian suffered revenge in the UFC 287 after being knocked out by the Nigerian and failing in his first title defense in the old division. This was Alex's last defeat in the organization.

Protagonist of a great victory in the main fight of the UFC 300, Poatan did not repeat the feat of his last interview after the triumph and avoided calling Adesanya up for the trilogy. It seems that the Brazilian is willing to face new opponents in the future.
