The rise of the young TUF 17 champion Kelvin Gastelum has just reached the top of the welterweight division. After winning Jake ellenberger last Saturday (15) in Mexico, the undefeated Gastelum will face Tyron woodley, third place in the official rankings, in the co-main fight of UFC 183, a card headlined by Anderson Silva x Nick Diaz, in January of 2015.
At 23, Kelvin Gastelum He won the ten fights he had as a professional, half of them as an Ultimate athlete. Currently, Gastelum is seventh in the under-77 kg category. Already Tyron woodley, 32 years old, has a record of 14 wins and three losses. The “Chosen One”, as he is known, comes from a victory over Dong Hyun Kim on August 23rd.
UFC 183 takes place on January 31st, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). The main fight of the night marks the return of Anderson Silva following a broken leg suffered in December 2013. Spider's opponent also returns to the octagon after a long hiatus. This is the controversial Nick Diaz, who had announced his early retirement in March last year.
