Shogun receives two-month medical suspension after defeat in Uberlândia

Winner of the co-main fight of the night, Warlley Alves could be away from the Octagon for up to six months

Defeated in the main fight of UFC Uberlândia, held last Saturday (8), Mauritius Shogun received a two-month medical suspension according to the list released by the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA).

The former light heavyweight champion, knocked out by Ovince St Preux in just 34 seconds, you must also stay away from any type of physical contact for a period of 45 days. The North American received the minimum layoff, with 14 days without fighting and seven without physical contact.

PUBLICITY:

The longest suspensions applied after the event can reach up to six months. Warlley alves, who beat Alan Jouban in the co-main fight of the night, must be out of action for 180 days, and may be released sooner by a doctor if he presents an x-ray examination of his right rib. The same happened with Colby Colvington, Wagnão Silva's tormentor, who could be out of action for an entire semester unless he is cleared by an orthopedist for an injury he suffered in his foot.
