Anderson Silva avoided taking a stance on the recent criticisms made by Wanderlei Silva to the UFC leadership, especially the organization's president, Dana White, whom he accuses of exploiting athletes and providing poor remuneration.
The former UFC middleweight champion, however, stated that he always tried to resolve his problems with the company directly with White, and that, from the moment a contract is signed, it must be fulfilled.
“I haven’t talked to Wanderlei for a long time. We were teammates, we trained together and helped each other a lot. But I didn't have the opportunity to speak to him. I found out about all the controversy that happened because of the people who came to talk to me, but I didn't see anything. I think he has his opinions, they have to be respected”, said Anderson, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.
The “Spider” continued to talk about the subject: “I have no problem with the UFC. I have my fights with Dana and I deal with him whenever something is bothering me. I'll say it, and we'll resolve it. As I said, the UFC is a family. When there is a problem, you have to reach out to the people responsible and try to resolve it. That's what I always try to do. And from the moment you sign a contract… You have the option of wanting to sign it or not. If you signed something, it's on paper, and you agreed, it's difficult to question anything. I don’t know what happened, but that’s more or less what I think”, concluded the former champion.
