Former President of the United States, Donald Trump is expected in the front row of the T-Mobile Arena this Saturday (16) to honor his supporter and friend Colby covington in the welterweight belt dispute (up to 77,1 kg) in the main fight of the event. Champion of the category and opponent of the North American, Leon edwards has difficulty understanding the relationship between Colby and Trump.
During the media day of the UFC 296, last Wednesday (13), Edwards mocked the fascination shown by Colby covington in relation to the former president of the United States.

“I don't know, I think the whole scenario is weird. I don't understand this fascination with another man, you know? I don't understand. I know he was president and everything, but he's not even the president anymore. I don’t know what happens, but it’s strange”, said the champion.
On the same 'media day', Colby covington revealed that Donald Trump will be responsible for handing him the belt in case of victory. Edwards, however, assured that he will not allow that to happen and left some advice for his rival.
“I don't understand, but Trump won't put anything around his waist, because he won't get the belt. Trump has been in fights that he lost. Trump can't fight for him. He needs to grow up and get a girlfriend or something,” he concluded.
Leon edwards face each other in the main fight of the UFC 296, winning the welterweight belt, this Saturday (16), at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, in the United States. The event also features a fight for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) between the champion Alexandre pantoja and the challenger Brandon royval.
