O UFC 295, which would take place on November 11th, in New York (USA), suffered a loss of weight. The heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg.), Jon Jones, had to withdraw from the event due to a serious shoulder injury, which will keep him away from the Octagon for up to eight months. Bones would face the former belt holder, Stipe Miocic, in his first title defense in the category.

Jones' injury occurred during wrestling training at his gym in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The fighter tore the tendon that connects his shoulder to the bone and will need surgery. UFC president Dana White confirmed the news on his social media and lamented the champion's situation.

Without being released to perform, Jamahal released the belt, which will be on the line in the UFC 295. He hopes to fight for the title again when he recovers.
