Heavy weight (up to 120,2kg.) Mohammed Usman won his third win in UFC by defeating Jake collier by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27 and 29-28) on the main card of ufc vegas 79, held this Saturday (23/09) in Las Vegas, in the United States.

The younger brother of the former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman showed superiority in grappling and scored an impressive takedown in the second round, lifting Collier, who weighs 116,3 kg, and throwing him hard to the ground.

After starting at a disadvantage in the striking, Usman hit Collier with a finger in the eye and saw the fight almost stopped without result. The duel continued and the Nigerian imposed his wrestling game and surprised by lifting Collier in his arms and throwing him violently onto the mat, drawing applause from the audience at the UFC Apex. The Nigerian was on top and threw some punches and elbows, but Collier defended himself well and avoided further damage.

In the third and final round, Muhammad showed more willingness and landed some low and direct kicks on Jake, who looked tired. He put pressure on Collier on the ground again, managing the advantage until the bell sounded.

With the result, Usman reached 10 wins and two losses in his MMA career. He debuted in the UFC in August 2022, when he knocked out Zac Pauga in the final of TUF 30. In April of this year, he won Junior Tafa by unanimous decision.
