Often, in the heat of combat, some athletes overdo it and end up hitting their opponents with unnecessary blows until they are stopped by the judges. But Englishman Nathius Frederick went so far overboard that he had to be restrained by referee Leon Roberts, who was responsible for UFC fights in the United Kingdom on several occasions. The incident took place at the Fight UK MMA amateur event, held in London.

Facing compatriot Ahmed Aswad, Nathius Frederick achieved a knock-downn right at the beginning of the confrontation and left for the ground and pound, in order to end the fight. After the first blow, Aswad stopped reacting and referee Leon Roberts declared the end of the fight. Frederick, however, didn't stop attacking his opponent, even with the judge trying to hold him back. Roberts then went for the fighter's back and secured a rear-naked choke, only to be able to calm him down with the immobilization.
