Starring in The Ultimate Fighter alongside Conor McGregor, Michael chandler opened the game and spoke about the difficulty of living with the Irishman during and after recording. Like other rivals of the 'Notório', the American highlighted the difference in personality presented by the former double champion when the cameras are on.

“It was definitely something that was eye-opening (acting with McGregor), because Conor is an artist. Conor is really good when those lights come on, he's really good when the cameras come on. And you have to be on your A-game because you never know which Conor you're going to get. He's going to be subdued, nice, kind on Monday and then on Tuesday he comes spitting venom, and you have no idea, you just have to be prepared, on edge really, throughout the whole process," Chandler told Jon Anik.

Despite highlighting the difficulty in dealing with McGregor, Chandler opened up and revealed that he had fulfilled his long-held desire to experience this atmosphere with the Irishman.

“Conor was the guy I wanted to fight when I joined the UFC. I needed to fight a lot of guys to get to this moment. He's a guy I would compete against, he's a guy who has built this aura about him, this mystique about him, so actually being in Vegas with him, in person with him, being around the man, number one: I think that helped me. to humanize him a little more, he's just a guy with two arms and two legs, even if he's so bigger than the fictional life out there in the media”, concluded the fighter.
