In his last fight in the UFC, Ron Jason suffered a painful defeat when he was knocked out by Jeremy Stephens right at the beginning of the combat in Goiânia. This resulted in the Brazilian losing his undefeated record in the UFC, as he had already achieved three triumphs, including the title of the first season of the UFC. reality show The Ultimate Fighter Brazil.

Even so, Jason guaranteed that he will not be conservative in his next engagement inside the octagon. This Sunday (23), in Natal, he will face Steven Siler with the aim of being aggressive. “Honestly, I've seen very little [of Siler's fights], but the guy is very big, good with the guillotine, comes out with his hands, takes him down. I saw the video once and stopped so as not to deify the guy too much,” he joked. “I'm going to fight him. I usually put a photo of my opponents on the wall, not to be angry with him, who is a professional like me, but to remember the reason for my suffering with training and weight loss. I hope he is doing the same. I’m 100% ready, and the least I can expect from him is the same,” he continued.

A Team Nogueira athlete, Jason chose to do his preparation in Rio Grande do Norte, which, according to him, made him even more disciplined. “The people who are here with me make a difference. I'm with top quality training partners, like Patrício and Patricky Pitbull, Leandro Higo, Fábio Maldonado, among others. Of course I miss my friendships at Team Nogueira, but here I was able to become more disciplined in my daily life, I brought my brother to live with me, and that has been very important in this pre-fight phase. Furthermore, I have been doing a great job with nutrition and supplementation, that makes all the difference,” he explained.

The fight between Jason and Siler will open the main card of UFC Fight Night Natal, which will feature the fight between Mauritius Shogun e Dan Henderson.
