UFC 'Plan C', Curtis Blaydes makes bold projection for possible fight with Jon Jones

North American claims not to know the veracity of a possible clash, but says he is ready for a five-round 'war' against 'Bones'

The MMA world was taken by surprise by a possible alternative to Jon Jones in his debut at heavyweight (up to 120,2kg.). According to 'MMA Junkie’, Curtis blaydes could be the UFC's 'plan C' in case priorities, Stipe Miocic e Francis Ngannou, are not available to perform on March 5, 2023, at UFC 285.

After speculation, Curtis blaydes used social media to comment on the matter. The North American confessed that he did not know the veracity of the plans, but showed excitement and made a bold projection for a possible 'five-round' fight against the light heavyweight legend (up to 93kg).

“I'm not sure if this is legit, but if this fight happens I'll be ready for 5 rounds of war,” Blaydes wrote on 'Instagram'.

Third placed in the heavyweight rankings, Curtis is coming off a technical knockout victory over Tom aspinall, after the Briton's knee injury. The 'Razor', as he is known, has three consecutive victories and, in the organization, has already played for names such as alistair overeem, junior gypsy e Mark Hunt. In his career, there are 17 positive results, three negative results and one 'no result' fight.
