On Friday night (24), Bellator's circular cage will be set up once again at the Mohegan Sun Arena, in Uncasville, Connecticut (USA). Leading the 282nd edition of the organization chaired by Scott Coker, the card is headlined by the expected fight for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) between the champion Gegard Mousasi and the undefeated Johnny Eblen. In total, 14 fights are scheduled for the event, with five Brazilians among the combatants.

Middleweight champion since October 2020, the veteran Gegard Mousasi is going for his third title defense at Bellator 282. Since taking over the reign, after defeating the Brazilian Douglas lima, the 36-year-old fighter beat, respectively, John Salter and Austin vanderford and consolidated himself as number 1 in the 83,9kg division in the organization led by Scott Coker.
On the other side of the circular cage, Mousasi will have a tough task: undefeated prospect Johnny Eblen is eager to dethrone the veteran and win the middleweight belt. The disciple of the American Top Team academy turned professional in 2017 and, since then, he has won 11 consecutive victories, without ever feeling the bitter taste of a defeat.

Following the exciting Bantamweight Grand Prix (up to 61,2kg), Bellator 282 will be the stage for the continuation of the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Brazilian Leandro Higo faces the loudmouth Danny Sabatello. The two fighters have been exchanging provocations in the press in recent weeks and the duel promises to be hot inside the circular cage.
In his third fight wearing Bellator gloves, Russian Magomed Magomedov faces Peruvian ex-UFC Enrique Barzola, who in two fights in the organization won two victories, one of them over former division champion Darion Caldwell. The winner of the clash will face the biggest surprise of the tournament so far: Patchy mix, who defeated Japanese Kyoji Horiguchi, considered one of the best in the world in this weight range.

Besides Leandro Higo, Brazil will have four other representatives in the Bellator 282 cage: Killys Mota, Maycon Mendonça, Ilara Joanne and Fábio Aguiar, face, respectively: Dan Moret, Sabah Homasi, Alejandra Lara and aaron jeffery. All duels will be held on the preliminary card of the show.
