Everything is fine for the main fight of Bellator 282, which takes place this Friday (24), in Uncasville (USA). At the official weigh-in of the event, held this Thursday (23), Gegard Mousasi fulfilled his commitment to the scales and confirmed his defense of the middleweight title (up to 83,9kg) against the undefeated Johnny Eblen. The five Brazilians on the card also guaranteed their presence at the show.
Close to reaching the mark of 59 fights as a professional in MMA, Mousasi reached the middleweight limit. At 83,9kg, the veteran is trying to defend his second title in his second reign in the category.
Ready to take the throne of the under-83,9kg division, Johnny Eblen had no problems with the scale and also reached the group's limit mark. Undefeated in mixed martial arts, the North American has his first attempt at winning a belt in the organization.
Present in the quarter-final clash in the bantamweight tournament (up to 61,2kg), the Brazilian Leandro Higo is confirmed in the co-main fight. With the dream of reaching 'gold' in the category, the Tupiniquim weighed 61,1kg, the same amount as his opponent, Danny Sabatello.
Highlighted on the preliminary card, Killys Mota scored the same 70,5kg as his opponent, Dan Moret. The clash will be held at lightweight (up to 70,3kg).
Seeking his first victory with Bellator gloves, Maycon Mendonça is ready for his first appearance in the 2022 season. A welterweight athlete, the Brazilian weighed 77,4kg, making him slightly heavier than his rival, Sabah Homasi, who had 77,1kg.
In an unstable phase in the company, Ilara Joanne secured 56,6kg. at the official weigh-in. The Brazilian's opponent, Alejandra Lara weighed 56,9kg.
A promising middleweight in the organization, Fábio Aguiar weighed 83,4kg. At 83,5kg., aaron jeffery will be responsible for trying to stop the rise of Tupiniquim in the company.
