Jorge masvidal will return to court on May 12, when a trial date is expected to be revealed. This Thursday, the fighter maintained his “innocent” claim to all charges.

Despite Masvidal's statement, Colby covington obtained a restraining order against his former friend. According to the court decision, “Gamebred” is required to stay at least 25 feet (approximately 7,6 meters) from Covington and at least 500 feet (approximately 152,4 meters) from his rival's residence. He also cannot contact Covington directly or indirectly. The order was given after Covington said he was “scared” of Masvidal following the attack.

If the case actually goes to trial, the tendency is for the defense Jorge masvidal claim “mutual combat” between rivals. Defense attorneys recently filed a request for a medical check-up on Colby covington, as well as an inspection of the Rolex watch allegedly damaged during the alleged attack.
