This Wednesday (28), with UFC Fight Night 27, Ultimate resumes its midweek events, something that hasn't happened since July last year. The main fight of fight night in Indianapolis (USA) brings two old acquaintances face to face: Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann, who already faced each other in 2009 – coincidentally, also on a Wednesday.
The “Fight Night” series had already returned on August 17th, the night that the defeat of Mauritius Shogun for Chael Sonnen as the main fight. However, as it was a special occasion, the event took place on a Saturday. From now on, however, shows in this order always take place on Wednesdays, replacing the old “UFC on FX” and “UFC on FUEL TV” events – which have been discontinued.
The only athlete from Brazil in this Wednesday's event, Rafael dos Anjos faces the North American Donald Cerrone. Rafael is tenth in the official ranking of the lightweight category and Cerrone occupies sixth place in the same list. The Brazilian has an excellent recent record, with four consecutive victories – over Kamal Shalorus, Anthony Njokuani, Mark Bocek and Evan dunham.
