After Bruce Buffer's controversial statement, Anthony Johnson hits back hard: 'You need to stay away from crack'

Former UFC challenger, 'Rumble' responded categorically to the UFC's official announcer's insinuations about athletes leaving the organization

After Bruce Buffer declares that athletes who leave Ultimate 'become irrelevant', the company's former fighter Anthony Johnson He didn't let the provocations go cheap. In a comment on Instagram, the former light heavyweight (up to 93kg) challenger countered the announcer UFC official when saying that he earns more working for Bellator and insinuated, ironically, that the company's notable figure uses illicit drugs.

“Bruce needs to stay away from crack. How can it be irrelevant to provide food and shelter for your family? Oh, by the way, I got a lot more for moving to another organization. Bruce has his money guaranteed so he can talk. Wrestlers have to wait and actually entertain people for a chance to make some money,” Johnson said.

Light heavyweight challenger in 2015 and 2017, 'Rumble' hung up his gloves after his second defeat to Daniel Cormier. Almost four years later, Johnson came out of retirement and signed a contract with Bellator. On his return to MMA, the North American knocked out Brazilian Augusto 'Gugu' Azevedo. The fighter has a record of 23 triumphs and six setbacks in professional MMA.
