Considered one of the greatest characters in the history of Ultimate, Bruce Buffer gave his opinion on the 'war' between the company and Francis Ngannou and took the opportunity to skewer the fighters leaving the organization. In a statement given to his podcast, the official UFC announcer caused controversy by saying that athletes who leave the company become 'irrelevant' in the mixed martial arts scene.

“No offense to other organizations, but you become irrelevant when you leave the UFC after a while. Instead of losing in the UFC, your contract ends and you fall from the Octagon to Bellator. Let’s wait for everyone to get their act together to reach an agreement,” said Bruce.

At 64, Buffer works as a announcer official of Ultimate since 1996, in edition number eight. In addition to the historic fighters and Dana White, Bruce is perhaps the greatest personality in the organization's history. His exuberant suits and his catchphrase 'It's Time' are well known and praised among MMA fans and the specialized press.
