The victory of Francis Ngannou about Cyryl Gane No. UFC 270, in a clash to unify the heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg), marked the last fight in the 'giant's' current contract with Ultimate. Due to friction with the company, the absolute champion of the category did not guarantee renewal. In a press conference after the show this Saturday (22), the athlete once again publicly criticized the organization and questioned his future in the company.

“I've been thinking about my future within the company for a while now. Nothing changed. It's not just money. Money is part of the problem, but I don't agree with the terms of the contract. It’s not fair and I don’t feel free,” said Ngannou.

Dissatisfied with the organization, this is not the first time that the fighter has publicly criticized the UFC management. The heavyweight champion, who had already asked for better payments, continued to explain what bothers him.

“I don’t feel like I’m treated well. It's sad that I have to be in this position. I believe that everyone has the right to want what is best for themselves. At the end of the day, we put a lot of effort into this work. It demands a lot from our bodies to make this happen. At least we get a fair deal,” he said.

If Francis does not have any commitments scheduled by December 2022, the fighter's contract will automatically end. Thus, the athlete would be free to settle with any other company.

No UFC 270, Ngannou once again proved his talent to viewers. Before Cyryl Gane, the 'giant' was able to show progress and nullify his rival in part of the confrontation. After five rounds, the French-Cameroonian was declared the winner in a unanimous decision, thus unifying the heavyweight title.
