Considered one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA, Amanda nunes surprised the combat sports community by announcing that he was leaving 'American Top Team' – where he achieved part of his success – to found a new team. Then, there was speculation about the real reasons for the change and, now, the 'Lioness' spoke about the matter.

In an interview with 'ESPN' North American, Amanda revealed that she wants to prioritize a 'new space' so that she has even greater freedom in her game. She also revealed her desire to be a trainer in the future and, with her new gym, she will have more freedom and space to develop her interests.

“After everything, I have a desire to be a coach. When I said I would like to open a gym, it wasn't about this gym being public. I want a private space and will do things my way if I need to do something new. That’s what I want to do”, explained Nunes.

Absolute leader of the bantamweight division so far and in his sixth title defense, Amanda nunes she was surprised by the challenger and was submitted in the second round with a rear naked choke. Still champion of the featherweight division (up to 56,7kg), the Brazilian athlete has an MMA record of 21 triumphs and five setbacks.

The rematch between the 'Lione' and the North American with Venezuelan descent should take place after the 30th edition of 'The Ultimate Fighter', which begins recording in February. The two athletes will even be the coaches for the new season.
