After the victory over Anderson Silva at UFC 162, Chris Weidman brought home the middleweight belt. Literally. For the Instagram, Gian Villante, fighter and friend of the new champion, registered Weidman at the airport along with the article that symbolizes his title.
“It didn’t fit in the suitcase,” wrote Villante along with the image, joking about the fact that Weidman was waiting to have the belt x-rayed before leaving for New York – where he lives. The fighter, who works in the UFC's light heavyweight division, also published other photos alongside Weidman.
Chris Weidman knocked out the former middleweight champion Anderson Silva in the second round of the main fight of UFC 162, last Saturday (6), to win the category title. With the result, the North American remains undefeated in his career. Weidman has a perfect record of ten wins.
