Four years after debuting with a defeat in Ultimate, in a split decision to Martin Kampmann, the former interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit can finally have his rematch against the Dane. According to the website FOXSports.com, the two could meet again at UFC on FOX Sports 2, on August 28th.
Carlos Condit, who is also a former champion of the now-defunct WEC, has a record of 28 wins and seven losses. Martin Kampmann has a record of 20 wins and six losses in his career. The two athletes, interestingly, are coming off defeats to the same fighter, John hendricks. Condit lost to his compatriot in March, while Kampmann was knocked out by the next challenger for the welterweight title in November last year.
The second edition of UFC on FOX Sports 1 is scheduled to take place on August 28th, at the NBA's Indiana Pacers gym (Bankers Life Fieldhouse), in Indiana (USA). So far, the possible reunion between “The Natural Born Killer” and “Hitman” – as Condit and Kampmann are known, respectively – was the only fight announced for fight night.
