Known for his tattoos and masks worn before his fights, British Colin Fletcher, known as “Freakshow”, was fired from the UFC. The fighter, who participated in the TUF United Kingdom x Australia edition, last acted at UFC 158, in March, when he lost to Mike Ricci in a unanimous decision by the judges. The news was confirmed by the athlete himself through his Twitter account.
“Cut after an official fight seems a little harsh. I know my performance wasn't the best. Let it go,” Fletcher wrote on the microblog.
In fact, Fletcher had two appearances in Ultimate. At UFC on FX 6 in December 2012, he lost the TUF final to Norman Parke via unanimous decision. In 2013, he was surpassed by Mike Ricci. At 30 years old, Fletcher leaves the UFC with a record of eight wins and three losses.
