A scene that no one would like to see. Executioner of Anderson Silva in 2013, Chris Weidman received a standing ovation as he left the Octagon in UFC 261, held this Saturday (24), in Jacksonville (USA). After suffering a serious injury in the confrontation against Uriah Hall, similar to that suffered by 'Spider', the veteran, in tears, was taken out of the arena on a stretcher.

In the images (see below) you can see the North American's emotion. Crying a lot, the fighter tried to thank the public for their encouragement, which emanated positive energy to the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg).
In the confrontation, Weidman, who was looking to resume the good phase of his career, could produce little. In the first seconds, Chris risked a low kick, which was saved by his rival. Immediately, it was possible to notice the fracture, which declared the technical knockout.
Victorious in the confrontation, Hall did not even celebrate the triumph. Excited, the fighter showed respect to the veteran and wished his opponent a speedy recovery.
