In addition to the victory over nina nunes, Mackenzie dern had one more reason to smile after the UFC Las Vegas 23, held this Saturday (10). The strawweight division (up to 52,1kg) won a US$50 (approximately R$285,5) 'Performance' award given to the fighters who stood out in the event. The announcement was made by Ultimate's press office after the Show.

When he entered the octagon, Mackenzie was defending an undefeated streak of three positive results. Facing Nina, number five in the ranking, the Brazilian once again lived up to expectations on her behalf. Using his best weapon, jiu-jitsu, Dern easily passed his wife. Amanda nunes, finishing in the first round.
Who was also awarded along with Mackenzie, was Mateusz gamrot. The Pole, who debuted in the organization with a defeat, managed to rehabilitate himself by knocking out scott holtzmann, in the second round, after a dominant performance. The duel was valid in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg).
The 'Best Fight' award was presented to Sam alvey e Julian Marquez. In a busy confrontation, Marquez 'erased' the 'Man Sorriso', with a rear-naked choke, in the second round. The duel marked the second consecutive victory for the middleweight (up to 83,9kg), who returned in February after a two-year hiatus away from the sport.
