Borrachinha adds more fuel to the fire behind the scenes of the fight with Adesanya

After revealing that he fought 'half-drunk' against a Nigerian, Brazilian returns to controversy on social media

Brazilian promise for the future of Ultimate, Paulo borrachinha remains one of the most talked about names this week. After reveal that he performed 'half drunk' in the confrontation against Israel Adesanya, UFC 253, for the company's middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.), the Brazilian continues to cause controversy when dealing with the episode. After being answered by the Nigerian, the miner added more fuel to the fire in his Twitter.

Earlier this week, for the first time, he opened up about what went behind the scenes in the hours leading up to the title fight. Despite having previously confirmed that he was unable to sleep before the fight, due to cramps and the Abu Dhabi time zone, the fighter admitted to having drunk wine to try to fall asleep.

In the fight, Paulo did not come close to the presentations that confirmed him as Brazil's big bet in the UFC's middleweight division. The Minas Gerais native was dominated in the first round by the champion and, in the second, he ended up succumbing to his rival's technique.

With the result, the Tupiniquim ended up losing his unbeaten record in his career. The athlete had never lost in 12 commitments as a professional in MMA.
