Considered one of the best fighters of all time, Fedor Emelianenko is admitted to a hospital center specializing in the treatment of patients with Covid-19, in Moscow, Russia. The information was released by 'RIA Novosti', who did not give further details about the veteran's health status. On his social networks, however, the legend reassured fans by stating that he was recovering well.

“Thank you to everyone who is concerned about my health. I have the impression that I am improving. Thank you to the doctors and the team for their care and hard work”, wrote the 44-year-old athlete on his Instagram account.
A professional in MMA since 2000, Emelianenko is considered one of the pillars of the sport. PRIDE legend and tormentor of names like Rodrigo Minotauro, Pedro Rizzo, Ricardo arona, Renato Babalu and Quinton jackson, the athlete built his successful career alternating victories between knockouts and submissions.
Today, Fedor wears Bellator's gloves and is considered one of the company's biggest names. In 2021, the organization plans a 'farewell tour' for the athlete. The plan is for the fighter to make his farewell fight in Russia.
The veteran's last fight took place in December 2019. On that occasion, Emelianenko ran over Quinton jackson, at an event held in Japan.
