After having some doors closed to pursue his career, Anderson Silva You may be close to finding a new home. Ignored by Bellator, ONE FC, PFL and Bare Knuckle, the MMA legend could be Rizin's new star. Noticing 'Spider' free on the market, the organization's president, Nobuyuki Sakakibara, admitted his interest in having the legend in his group of athletes.

“I have great memories of Anderson Silva during Pride times and, in my opinion, his career took off in Japan. I heard that Japan has a special place in his heart”, said Nobuyuki, in an excerpt shared on social media.
Realizing the opportunity to count on one of the best fighters in MMA history, Sakakibara wants to give Anderson the opportunity to prove that he still has the ability to perform at a high level. In this way, the event should negotiate the possibility of the Brazilian returning to Japan after almost 16 years.
“I would like to help him do what he wants, out of respect for what he achieved and did for our sport. I haven't talked to him yet, but I would love to see if we can come up with something that makes sense for him to make his final chapter in Japan,” he concluded.
Silva performed for the last time at the end of October, when he was beaten by Uriah Hall, UFC Las Vegas 12. The confrontation marked the farewell of the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) from the organization. A few days later, Anderson managed to terminate his contract amicably with Ultimate, leaving him free to transfer to any company.
Rizin boss Nobuyuki Sakakibara is interested in signing Anderson Silva.
