Israel Adesanya appreciates Georges St-Pierre's compliment and reciprocates: 'The best recognize the best'

Forget the Israel adesanya of heavy trash talk exchanged with Paulo borrachinha, Jon Jones and the ‘sarrada’ controversy in UFC 253. The middleweight champion (83,9kg) also has a classy side and showed it when talking about Georges St-Pierre. In a recent interview with ESPN American, the MMA legend congratulated the Nigerian and praised his achievements. Upon learning of this, Adesanya spoke out.

To the North American website MMA Junkie, ‘The Last Stylebender’ celebrated and not only thanked him, but also returned the compliment, as he considers GSP to be one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA.

At 31, Israel adesanya impressed Georges St-Pierre, because he arrived at the UFC in 2018 and became the organization's middleweight champion in 2019. The Nigerian is undefeated in MMA and has already played nine times for the company, winning seven bonuses in those times. Furthermore, ‘The Last Stylebender’ is already the second with the longest winning streak in the category and also the one who won the most title fights, being surpassed by Anderson Silva on both issues.
