After being close to bankruptcy, Dream holds New Year's Eve event

Japanese MMA is gaining survival. After Dream, the main Japanese event, speculated about bankruptcy, the show went back and will hold a special year-end edition. Through its official website, Dream confirmed the holding of its traditional year-end edition, on December 31st.

The event is called “DREAM: NYE Special 2012”, and there are already some names confirmed on the card. Featherweight division champion Hiroyuki Takaya, veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri and Satoru Kitaoka are some confirmed names.

Interestingly, the last event held by Dream took place on December 31, 2011. At the time, the Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko defeated former judoka and Olympic medalist Satoshi Ishii.
