After winning one of the toughest battles of his career and, as a bonus, earning the 'Fight of the Night' bonus, Michelle Waterson still want more. After the victory over Angela Hill No. UFC Las Vegas 10, held this Saturday (12), the North American reinforced her desire to compete for the strawweight belt (up to 52,1kg), which today belongs to Weili Zhang.

“The goal was always to fight for the belt. I want to get there. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm digging in little by little and I can't look back. I need to move on”, said the American, in a press conference after the show.
In the confrontation against Hill, Waterson entered the Octagon under pressure from two consecutive defeats. The athlete then commented on the mental process so that the pressure did not affect her performance.
“I think when you put all that pressure on yourself it can all end. Two defeats and this has to be a victory. You are appearing in a main fight, five rounds, with a week's notice. What happens if I lose? What if the UFC releases me? I have been fighting for 13 years. Where is my career going? I decided to abandon those thoughts and just go out there and fight,” said the strawweight.
This weekend, Michelle reached the mark of 26 appearances as a professional in MMA. Today, the North American has 18 victories and eight setbacks in the sport. Currently, Waterson is in 8th position in the ranking led by Weili Zhang.
