Rookie of the night, Alexander Romanov stole the show after his victory over Roque Martinez in the UFC Las Vegas 10, held this Saturday (12). In addition to debuting in the organization, Romanov took to the octagon to defend his unbeaten career. Now, the athlete has 13 positive results and appears as a promise for the heavyweight category (up to 120,2kg).
Romanov should have faced the Brazilian Marcos Foot No. UFC Las Vegas 9, but ended up not appearing on the card after the São Paulo native tested positive for Covid-19. Alexander then accepted the challenge of exchanging forces against Martinez.
Roque, who was also making his debut at the event, ended up not giving a convincing performance. After being largely dominated in the first round, the heavyweight was unable to recover and ended up being caught in a katagatame and was forced to withdraw.
