After watching Kamaru Usman defend his belt for the second time, this Saturday (11), at UFC 251, Ultimate's president, Dana White, already has plans for the Nigerian's future. In a press conference after the show, the 'big boss' stated that he will continue with the plan to promote the fight between the champion and Gilbert Durinho, who was supposed to perform this weekend, but was removed from the card after being diagnosed with COVID-19.

“Yes (Durinho will be next). I think Gilbert Burns (Durinho) and Kamaru Usman it will be an incredible fight”, said the president.
After learning that Gilbert would not be able to perform this weekend, Ultimate acted quickly and settled their differences with Jorge masvidal so that the North American could face the champion. In the confrontation, which marked the main fight of the night, Usman ended up dominating his opponent and retaining the title with a unanimous decision from the judges.
Now, it's up to the UFC, Usman and Gilbert to wait until the Brazilian is 100% recovered from the illness and can return to training normally.
