Responsible for facing José Aldo in one of the most important fights in the UFC 251, which takes place this Saturday (11), Petr yan exudes confidence before the match against the Brazilian. A favorite at the bookmakers, Manauara's former training partner believes he will have a predictable opponent this weekend. In an online conversation with the press, the Russian spoke about his expectations for the duel.

“It was a great experience training with him in the past. We did sparring, grappling… It was four years ago. I've become a better fighter since then, but I don't think he's improved. At best, he stayed the same,” said the Russian.

Having closely followed Aldo's training at a certain period of his career, Yan says he expects a predictable clash. The Russian then narrated what he thinks the Brazilian will bring to this weekend's duel, in the fight for the vacant bantamweight title (under 61,2kg).

“Aldo has basically been fighting the same way all these years. He will pressure, use his boxing and low kicks. So, I don't see it as a big advantage. Maybe it will have some effect on the fight, because I know him and he knows me, but I don't think it will make a big difference”, he concluded.
